Attire:
Scalemail armour over the torso and down to the hips. Medium sized pauldrons over the shoulders. Still emblazoned with heraldic imagery connected to the Knights of the Ton. Black leather belt around the waist with carved Knights Battalion scabbard attached. His Greatsword hangs in the scabbard. The Greatsword's blade is approximately 15cm wide at the hilt and narrows to a point at the tip. It is about 80cm long without the hilt. Fairly weighty but due to Kemuel's training he is able to wield it both single and double handed, depending on the situation. Black leather trousers and dark, medium length boots with straps.
Steel shield hung over his back and backpack underneath. The shield is covered in nicks and dents but nevertheless is finely polished and is in excellent order.
Kemuel chooses to wear a brown cloak that he wraps around himself like a poncho. He prefers to look discreet whenever possible. He has short, black hair with some curls. He normally keeps clean shaven but when he lets his facial hair grow the odd specs of grey can be seen.
Approximately 5'11", athletic and lithe with excellent physical conditioning.

Kemuel is a quiet, dark man. Battle scarred, doesn't waste words. He comes from an ancient order of Knights from the Eastern land of Taldor from whom he has been expelled - the Ulfen Guard. It is something that weighs heavily upon him, even though he keeps the insignia and armour proudly. He is disenfranchised with the ways of the world, having strived to do good all his life and seeing nothing come of it. Now he wanders and tries to make a difference where his abilities let him.
Kemuel's sometimes frank manner and his quiet observant habits stem from a life of seeing both the opulent beauty of success and also the cruel, lasting hollowness of defeat. He is used to having time to think over the things that have led him down this path.
Years ago, almost in another life, he not only served in the Ulfen Guard, he had risen up to command them. Service in 'the King's 100 Battalion' or 'The Ton', as it had also come to be known, was by invite only. Taldor's finest military men were handpicked to guard the Country and specifically it's King - The Grand Prince. The Knights of The Ton were loved and feared in equal measure by the people of the land, indeed by the lower members of the military itself. These were the elite fighting men of the land.
As ever it seemed, Taldor had been at war with it's neighbour, Qadira. This time over some petty, meaningless dispute. Some bordering strip of land that both countries had a claim to. It would have been simpler to just give them the land. Many wars and battles, assassination attempts, strikes and counter strikes happened in those years. The Grand Prince's city Oppara itself had been relatively untouched during the fighting, much like the Taldor itself, only the areas immediately next to the strip of disputed land really showed signs of fighting. This all changed at the capitulation at the Border gates.
Taldor's army suffered a devastating defeat at a key location on the border, meaning that now, the Qadirans not only had the advantage, but could now launch attacks deep into Taldor. This meant that instead of guarding the Grand Prince, the Ulfen Guard had to split up and each take charge of a regiment of troops and guard key locations and cities. Kemuel's Regiment had been tasked with guarding and maintaining superiority at the grand crossroads just prior to the border itself. They were right on the cusp of the main battle. Kemuel knew that if that location were to fall, Taldor itself would likely fall. He made sure that every man under his command knew his duty and the responsibility they had on them.
Kemuel's Regiment of perhaps 300 men bravely held off the attacking hordes of the Qadirans for 3 days before reinforcements arrived and helped turn the tide of battle, eventually securing the grand crossroads and pushing the opposition back across the border. The war fell back into stalemate.
It later became apparent that Kemuel's wife and two children had been killed in the fighting near their hometown, Lionsguard. Understandably, Kemuel was rocked to the core. He had lost that which he valued the most for his duty.
It was to get worse for Kemuel. While the King's Ton had been dispersed across the land, maintaining and commanding the Military, the news arrived that the King had died. He had been killed by assassination while none of the Ulfen Guard were there to stop it. This news rocked the Country and soon, despite the heroism displayed by all members of the Battalion, there were calls from power hungry, opportunist men that the order of Knights be punished for failing the King.
This cruel notion spread quickly as the Country looked for someone, anyone, to blame. For failing the King, many Knights of the Ton were tried, many were executed. Many were exiled and had their homes taken from them. This was the fate that befell Kemuel.
Years later and now Kemuel is a hardened man. He does not like to suffer fools, yet at the same time he is compassionate. During his exile he has helped many people and there are tales to be heard of "The Good Knight" in certain parts of the land. He keeps his discipline next to his heart and trains with the same vigour as he ever did, so as to never fall into complacency. Losing his family while fighting for Taldor, which then betrayed him made Kemuel change his thinking and his outlook. He values honour and honesty and if someone has earned his respect and his love, he would put his life on the line for them.
