Looking round the dusty tomb it looked fairly derelict. Sweeping his crude torch around, just as he was about to leave the glint of gold caught his eye. Easy to see how it'd been missed, covered in muck and dust Zhen had found a gold necklace which he pockets in the groups loot pouch. "Nothing here apart from a necklace. Doesn't seem to be any doors or passages, shall we continue? "

Durgean noted the necklace in Zhen's hand, the gold lust in him rose slightly. "When we get outside, show me that again lad. I think you'll fetch a pretty penny for that."
Turning to the others he gestured forwards and moved forwards into the darkness towards the other rooms that were barely visible in the near distance.

You continue to make your way down the dark, stone corridor, and sure enough you get to another set of doorways. One of the right and one of the left. This time though, the room on the right is the one that still has its iron gate. This one however looks even more worse for wear as it looks rusted and degraded, you guess probably by the years of constant dripping of water from above it.
Small rivers of copper coloured water run away into the cracks in the stone at the foot of the gate.
Ahead of you, those of you who can see well in the dark, can see two great wooden doors. You can all see that there is a line of light, indicating that the door is open. Those of you with darkvision, can see a small melon shaped head at the bottom.
As the Goblin notices that you have seen it, you hear an 'Eeek!' from it as it slams the door shut.

Durgean noticed the goblin run behind the door and cursed. They would be preparing to receive them on the other side now. Durgean turned to the open room and decided he might as well see if there was anything useful before charging the door.

This room looks to be pretty much like the others, with the exception that the tombs behind the two rooms with gates seem to still be sealed.
This one however, like the other, has the cover of the tomb removed. Only, this one has no corpse within. There is nothing within the tomb itself, but you do find a single green gem on the floor in the corner of the room, covered with muck and dust.
You suspect that it may have been dropped sometime ago, possibly when this tomb was first raided.

Listening to Durgean, Zhen decided to see if he could open up the rusty iron gate (A6) in order to get a good look around at what looks like an undisturbed tomb chamber.

Glancing around the room, Durgean sees nothing of use. Just an empty tomb. As he turns to leave however his keen sight washes over an object in the corner. The light that weakly slipped through the door way was enough to gleam off a tiny part of it. Stooping, Durgean wiped away dust and grime from the corner and found a small green gem. Walking out of the tomb he was about to give it to the monk for safe keeping when he saw Zhen approach the opposite doorway.

Zhen manages to pull free the gate from its rotten, rusty hinges, upon entering the room you find it to be like the other two, only this one has the cover on the tomb still. Dust and muck line the floor and the tomb itself, and nothing looks to have been disturbed for many years.
---- You figure that the cover of the stone tomb will require lifting.
If people wish, you can choose to assist in this by rolling a d20. On the result of 10 or more, you give the person making the check a +2 bonus.

Shadow moved into the other room after Zhen, covering for him in case there were any enemies. Although the gate was closed and locked, the drow somehow doubted that goblins were the only antagonists within these depths. Seeing that Zhen was going to try to lift the cover off of the tomb, Shadow decided to lend him a hand. The stone looked heavy.
(Assist roll: 8 - fail.)
Unfortunately, as Shadow stepped to the side of the tomb, his food slid on a layer of dust. He lost his grip on the tomb's cover.

Orcana had followed silently, feeling demoralized after letting the Hobgoblin go. She had sunk within herself again as she always did under peer pressure. Eyeing the stone bomb that Zhen had just reached, she figured she might as well make herself useful and try.
(Assist roll: 10) She gets a good hand-hold on the tomb cover and gets stuck in.

Putting his weight into it Zhen manages to force the iron gate free of the rusty hinges, with a minimum of noise. Looking around the room it seemed similar to the others but had no signs of disturbance. The tomb dominated the room and was where there was most likely to be treasure, whether historical information or gold.
Taking a firm grasp Zhen begins to lift the tomb lid.

The three of you struggle to lift the cover, but you manage to pull it up at the corner of Zhen is standing at. You figure this is a start and are about to give it another go to maybe push it off of the side when you hear a loud 'click'.
A single stone the size of a fist falls from the top of the doorway wall and the room is engulfed in flames.

The room fills with flames. The flash and the sudden burst of intense heat force Durgean to stagger back and he is dazed for a good few moments.
Inside the room however, is a completely different story.
Something in Zhen causes him to duck down and he is able to hide from the blast, however the intense heat caused not only by the flames, but also by the size of the stone room, causes his skin to blister and bubble.
Shadow and Orcana are both caught completely unaware, and as well as the heat, they both take the full force of the flames.
---- Zhen takes 4 damage. Shadow takes 7 damage. Orcana takes 7 damage.
- Shadow is on fire. - Orcana is on fire.
Putting out fire takes a full round action.

The trap had caught most of the group entirely off guard. Shadow's slip earlier caused him to lose his footing when the fire burst forth and he was showered in flames. Through years of training, he had learned not to cry out when in pain. As the flames licked around his body, causing a significant amount of damage, he knew instinctively to lean into his fall and roll on the ground to put the flames out. Unfortunately, it took a while to get them all out and he suffered several pretty nasty burns across his body.
Most of his hair had burned off and he had suffered pretty bad burns across his face and arms.

Durgean watched three of the party trying to push open a tomb they found. Looking away he tried to look at the distant door where the goblin when, and wondered what awaited them. He was deep in thought when a blinding light to his left took him by surprise. Turning back to the tomb he now saw the three of them engulfed in flames briefly. As the flames died out he could see that Zhen was hurt, his skin blistered and blackened from the blast. While the Drow and elf were still covered in flames.
Rushing forward he pulled out his holy icon. Even at it's most basic, all gods give their followers the ability to heal some basic wounds. Gripping it tightly he began a whispered prayer and like before, light shone from the icon. However this time, the light kept growing, its touch covering them all. As it did, some of the wounds began to knit and reheal. The most serious ones however would need more attention. Dropping the icon from his hand, he dived into his pack for the meagre first aid kit he brought with him.

Shadow felt the magic wash over him and knew it must be coming from the cleric. His skin tightened where it had burned and at least half of the burns vanished entirely, his body healing. The left side of his face and his left arm were still burned but not quite as badly, and he felt some strength return to his body as he slowly pushed himself off of the ground.

Orcana didn't know what hit her until the air had been burnt from her lungs. She collapsed under her own weight more than anything, then in her panic she thrashed and rolled, beating the flames from her body. After a few seconds, she was left alive but badly burnt everywhere her armor didn't hide her flesh.
Before she had even gotten back to her feet, she felt a wash of vitality flow through her. She didn't understand it, but she was damn thankful for it. The burns immediately subsided in and around her body, though her extremities were still badly blistered and burnt.
(Orcana is currently at 8HP)

After a few moments you begin to hear Goblin shouts. A moment after that, a young Goblin dressed in rags appears at the door with a large belt pouch, that for him, seems to take both arms to carry. He stands in the doorway with a concerned look on his face.

Recovering from the cooling healing obviously coming from Durgean, the blistering went away and pain receded. Zhen looked up and saw a goblin standing there carrying a large pouch and looking oddly at them. Launching forward he went to drag the goblin in.

Shadow noticed the goblin at the door close to the same time Zhen did, and as he recovered from the flame burst he leapt up, intending to engage.

Zhen moves to engage the young Goblin and grabs it wise ease, and with one punch to the head, knocks it out. Given the force of the punch however, you are unsure whether or not you have killed it.
The large pouch falls to the floor.
Panicked Goblin shouts cane be heard down the corridor, but they do not seem to be getting closer.

Orcana, finally making it to her feet after the blast, is shocked to find an unconcious goblin in the hands of Zhen and Shadow on his feet ready to do some damage. Her mind snaps around, trying to take it in, then hears the goblin shouts in the distance down the corridor. She takes the hint from Shadow's ready stance and draws her bow, picking up an arrow that fell from her quiver during her thrashing around. Bow drawn and aiming at the doorway, Orcana's mind drifts, thinking how nice being alone in the woods would be right about now.

Reaching the gonlin quickly Zhen grabbed a fistful of rags and delivered a swift punch to the goblins temple. The little thing immediately went limp and dropped the pouch it was carrying.
Stopping to listen for pursuing goblins he whispered "It doesn't sound like they're getting closer. Lets take a bit of time, check over any wounds and have a look in this pouch. Durgean, are you ok to keep a watch for any goblins coming from the corridor?" With that he picked up the pouch and hauled the scrawny, wretched looking goblin deeper into the room, dumping him on the floor. Loosening the pouch carefully, not sure of the contents he looked inside.

Zhen opens the belt pouch to find a mixture of bandages, herbs, a needle, and some thread, as well as a few other minor bits of equipment that you would expect to find in a Healers Kit.
---- The large belt pouch contains a healers kit - it has 8 charges remaining, and looks to be in good condition.

Looking in the bag Zhen was surprised at the contents, pulling out a few items he could tell they were medicinal suppliers. As he replayed the events in his mind confusion began to fade only to be replaced with a twinge of guilt. Looking down at the little goblin he murmured "that could of been a bad decision" with that he knelt down to check the injuries he had inflicted, hoping it wasn't dead and he would be able to heal what he could.
Whilst checking the go lin he explained to the group, "I know this sounds odd, but I don't he was here to harm us. He wasn't part of a larger group ad he ddidn't look angry, hateful or even afraid. He looked...I don't know if this is right but....he looked like he might want to help. Call me crazy but he had a bag of medicinal supplies, no weapons and no other goblins followed him. I've perhaps done an injustice to a goblin, something I never thought would or could happen!"
With a brief explanation out of the way he carried on trying to revive the little goblin.

Durgean turned to the doorway, peering out into the darkness waiting to see if there where any other goblins coming. He could still hear what was happening on the inside of the tomb. Help, from a goblin, he thought to himself. Sounds like trickery. And tried even harder to see in the darkness. Watching for an ambush.

Durgean sees at the end of the corridor one rather panicked female Goblin being held back by a male one who seems to be wearing some sort of make shift crown on its head.
