Feeling a little better now that a resolution had been reached, and that he had made some slight amends for the injuries he had caused the Goblins, "Thank you, for the torches and supplies. We will explore through the door and when we return to Sandpoint we will be sure to mention that your tribe is not involved, to avoid any further..misunderstandings."
With that he picked up the torches and backed away from the Goblin Chief, pausing when he got near enough to Orcana that he could talk so the Goblin wouldn't hear. "You might hate and despise them, but they did nothing to harm us, the little one came to help us by the looks of things. WE came down here, killed one of their tribe and assaulted a child of theirs, can you blame him for not wanting to answer our questions? It was up to us to make right this situation, if we wanted anything we had to make amends and offer something in return. We got something and lost a bauble, no harm caused to anyone. So I suggest we take our key and go have look through that other door."
Putting the six torches into his bag, Zhen began to walk back up the corridor to the entrance they came through.

Durgean moved out of the tomb as Zhen approached. Pausing to frown at the goblins, he then slowly move on. Shaking his head, he thought to himself; I don't like this. Goblins are not know for being 'good'. They are goblins. And yet, I don't sense they mean us harm. Doesn't mean I trust them. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out behind us.

Shadow watched the entire situation, feeling his companions out. What Orcana took as him standing idly by was actually studying; of the goblins, of Zhen, of Durgean and yes, even of Orcana herself. The whole situation felt odd to the drow and he couldn't put his finger on it. Regardless, he would have rather not traded with the goblins. Although they didn't show that they meant the party harm now, while they were outnumbered and lost the element of surprise... Well, that doesn't mean one will come back to slit our throats when we let our guard down.
Stepping out of the room, he followed the others. He murmured softly to Orcana, "Be on your guard. All is not as it seems... letting the goblins go was probably foolish."

Orcana was having a hard time keeping up. Being so used to being alone in her life, she struggled to adjust to having Shadow around and then with the addition of Durgean and Zhen so soon afterwards, it was getting to be too much. She didn't really want to be here and she would have been happy to leave Sandpoint to rot if it wasn't for Shadow giving her a sense of moral direction.
From fear after being scorched by the trap, to care for the infant, offensive with the Goblin, anger at Zhen, she was now feeling overwhelmed being around people in general now and needed to just shut down and blank everything out right now. As Shadow shared his concern for the party, she let his words float idly through her mind and focused more on just wanting to leave.

You all make your way back to the locked door, and sure enough, the old key fits and does indeed unlock the doors. As you open the doors, you are not only met with the cold chill of the darkness of the corridor, but also the smell of dust and decay. You get the sense that no one has been down the passage way ahead of you for quite some time.
You make your way down the corridor and step into a a large stone room that you suspect is about 50 foot by 35 foot.
There are pedestals around the room and a top each of them sit a fine carved stone dragon.
The wall opposite you, up a small set of stairs, sits a large, glowing red gem.
As you stand in the door way around you, a voice enters each of your heads in your native language. It speaks "The Dragons demand Humility."MAP: i2.photobucket.com/albums/y38/Toastee/LebsTorsCave1map_zps7bcff8f7.jpg

Durgean stops still as he heard the voice. A glance around his companions faces told him that they also heard something, but he doubted it would be the same he heard. None of them can speak Dwarven. 'Demand humility?' he thought to himself. Stepping forward Durgean walked to the right hand dragon statue and knelt, head bowed in supplication.

As Durgean approaches the right hand statue, the eyes on all six dragons start to glow a hot red. Just as you think they cannot glow any brighter, is when Durgean kneels. The glowing, red hot eyes begin to subside.
Durgean, as you approach you notice a set of remains near the right corner, its top half scorched black s night. The remain look very old.

Orcana was at the back of the party, mindlessly following in Shadow's footsteps as her thoughts wandered over the events that brought her into the caves, into contact with the others, into Sandpoint in general. When she heard the voice inside her head she knew a single word of it hadn't been said aloud. "Dragons!" her mind screamed, snapping her attention to the hear and now. Her mind raced in fast-forward and it screamed danger. She stopped in her tracks only two feet inside the room and immediately stepped back so she was at the very edge of the room looking in from the corridor outside.
"I would rather stand watch" She choked, trying to calm herself. " than go in there right now. The last trap has left me a little shaken."
Orcana turned her mind to what she did best to try and break the touch of fear that was growing inside her. She eyed the walls, the ground around her feet, the shadows cast around from the torches, searching hard to find something that could trap the party, or worse.

Orcana you see no tracks in the thick dust on the floor other than your own.
You note that in the right corner of the room, near to where Durgean is, is the remains of what could be a body, but you cannot pick out details from where you stand.
What you do see near to where you stand, is that the doorway you are in, the walls off it have deep scratch marks in the stone that run down the wall on either side to the floor. You look up and see what looks to be a stone block at the top of the door way that probably comes down some how.

Orcana edges further out of the room, noting the end of the scratches down the wall that would signify the safe side of what ever would fall into place there to trap the occupants. "Err, folks? Perhaps being inside isn't a smart idea? Something is designed to lock you in."

Shadow stayed near the doorway and watched as the dwarf listened to the voice within his mind. It took the drow aback at first to hear the whispers of Undercommon in his head, but he soon realized it must be a magical entity of some kind. Glancing sideways at Orcana, who remained in the doorway and was starting to edge out, Shadow gritted his teeth and stepped up to where Durgean was. He followed the dwarf's example, kneeling by Durgean's side and lowering his head in an offer of humility.
Seemingly casual, he muttered back towards the door, "There are things afoot here we cannot trifle with... best do as the dwarf does, Orcana."

Shadow: As you approach the statue that Durgean in knelt at the eyes of the rest begin to glow, only the one which already has a person at it remains still.
You kneel down beside the dwarf, and sure enough, the eyes of the other five statues return to normal.

Orcana shot a look at Shadow as he spoke. "Your deluded if you think I'm going in there. I've almost been killed once today, thanks."

Watching Durgean and Shadow walk in, "Well, no point hanging around.." with that he walked into the room, glanced at the two of them kneeling and carried on to thd next statue. Planning to kneel in front of it Zhen kept a sharp eye out for anything that looked likely to cause him harm. Other than weird glowing statues he chuckled to himself.

Zhen, you make it to the fifth statue just the eyes glow a hot red. You note the faint wisps of smoke coming from the mouths of the first 5 statues as you reach it. Once you kneel, the glow and the smoke slowly begin to fade.
You also notice the old remains in the right corner that have the top half charred to the bone.

"Durgean, Shadow. When we walk the statues eyes glow and smoke starts at the mouth. Now the remains in the corner there, are only burnt on the top half yes? So if my thinking is right we could approach the gem by crawling and have a look at it. Anyone fancy it or shall I have a crawl along?"

"I think it would be foolish for all of us to try, in case it fails. Zhen, you are agile enough to try. Go for it. Orcana, keep an eye out for the dragons glowing or any other trap."

Shadow was just happy Zhen volunteered for the job. Though, wouldn't the dwarf be better suited for staying closer to the ground? he thought, only half in jest.

Right, thought that'd be the case. "Right. Well off I go then, Orcana let me know what the statues are doing as I go along. " With that Zhen lowered himself down onto all fours and began to crawl along to the next Dragon statue thinking, why in Iroris name did I think of thirds!

Zhen you are able to get to the plinth where a decent sized ruby sits in a space within the top of the stone plinth. It glows with a bright, pulsing energy about it. ---- You didn't really need the acrobatics check, but eh.

Making short work of the quick scramble to the central column that held the glowing stone Zhen maintained his crouching position. He then preceded to crawl around the plinth checking for anything out of place. "Well, I got here safely enough, now for a quick look around. Anyone got an idea on what the glowing stone is for? And what might happen if we take it? " Perception 10+4=14 Survival 9+4=13

All you see is the red ruby sat into the stone plinth. ---- Survival checks are more for survival in the wilds and navigating the wilderness type stuff.

Looking around at everyone else, "Ok then, no idea what this is going to do but everyone get ready to move out the way of those statues. " with that he reached up to grab the glowing ruby.
–---------------- Player note - wasn't sure if it could be used to check/disable traps which is why I included it just to be on safe side.

Orcana's focus was everywhere, trying to work out what - if anything - was about to happen. When Zhen's hand landed on the Ruby, she instinctively tensed, expecting the worst.

Zhen, you pick up the ruby, and with that, the door to the room slams shut. The eyes of the Dragon statues all flare up for a brief moment, but die down, into normal flames, giving the room some extra light.
After a few moments, a door in the bottom left corner of the room begins to shudder open, and a clod breeze enters. You can also hear the sound of running water.

Letting out a huge sigh of relief Zhen stood up "Well.....at least there's no fire this time eh guys? Shall we take a look then." Looking round with a grin he walked over to the doorway, bouncing the ruby up and down in his Palm.
Reaching the doorway Zhen holds his torch in and has a look "Well I can hear water at least. "

Shadow hadn't even realized his body was completely tensed as Zhen lifted the ruby. When the glow of the dragons died down and the door opened, he felt the stiffness in his limbs and consciously forced himself to relax. Standing up from his kneeling position, he moved to the doorway on the other side of Zhen and listened.

Standing stiffly Durgean muttered into his beard about how long it took to pick up the stone.
"I for one have had enough of this room. I suggest we have a look at where these stairs go. I don't want to be here should the trap reset."
