(3 + 16 = 19 - Pass)
As the farmers came in, Kemuel noticed with a wry smile how the conversations in the room stopped briefly and a few heads turned and watched momentarily. He sat with his elbows on the bar and his chin resting on his hands and subtly took in as much detail about the new entrants as he could.
And then, "Excuse me, miss. Might I trouble you for some of your ale and if you don't mind, your wisdom also?" asked Kemuel genially.

Ameiko turned and picked up a mug to pour a Varisian ale. "Sure thing sir." she beamed. "What do you want to know?" she continued as she placed the ale down on the bar.

"Always trouble," was Shadow's only response as he took in the reactions of the others when the farmers moved in. Of course... why didn't he see it before? The rain perhaps, or trying to split his concentration in so many directions. It was quickly becoming too crowded in the inn for his liking. He caught the end of the innkeep's question as she asked it, speaking with the hardened looking human. An interesting conversation, Shadow ignored the others to listen in.

"Thank you kindly", said Kemuel as he examined the ale through the glass with relish. "Good ale is hard to come by."
He drank deeply, with eyes closed and head tilted back slightly. For a moment, Kemuel was back in The Ton, drinking with his fellow Knights as the setting sun melted in through the windows. How odd the mere taste of something could bring back a memory so vividly. As he finished his draught, he wiped the froth from around his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Also, while I appreciate your manners, there is really no need call me 'sir'. My name is Kemuel. If possible I would like to know more about your town - is there work to be had here? What history is here? What is your name and how fare you? Of course that's if you don't mind me asking...?" Kemuel leant back a tad with his usual dark, coy smile.

Ameiko blinked at the Knightly man for a moment. "Well, it is understandable that you'd want to know." she smiled. "And no, I don't mind." She leant down on the bar. "Well, firstly, Kemuel, I am Ameiko. Ameiko Kaijitsu, and I am A-Ok thank you very very much! Happy that my bar has filled up somewhat with some Adventurers!" "As for the history of Sandpoint. Well, it really depends what you want to know. The basics are that it was founded a good forty years or so. Before then, the Lost Coast was overrun with Goblins and all sorts of mean things. We still have issues with nasty creatures now and then, but eh, its a town, so, its bound to happen."
She pushed herself up and took up a mug. She poured herself a Varisian mead and took a long sip.
"As for work, the two Inns within Sandpoint. Us and the White Deer Inn, have job boards which have information up on available jobs. But you can also talk to the Sheriff, Balor Hemlock. He may also have work for you. He can be found at the Garrison or the Town Hall."
---- At this point, a hooded, female figure enters the Inn. She is holding a fine looking carved bow, and is dripping with water from the rain that is still pouring outside. She take a long moment to look over the patrons in the bar. Her ice blue eyes linger for long moments at all the new faces in the Inn tonight, but, when her gaze falls upon Shadow, after a few seconds, her eyes narrow. After a few long moments, she removes her hood, and the figure appears to be a blond haired elf.
She looks away from Shadow and heads to the bar. a smile appears over her face as her eyes meet Ameiko's.

"I see. Sadly nasty creatures are all the rage these days" said the Knight with a dry smile. The chinks along the exposed edge of his Greatsword danced in the light. "So where would I find the job board here in The Rusty Dragon?"
And then, reaching over to shake Amieko's hand and in genuine tones, "And thank you for your openness and enthusiasm Ameiko Kaijitsu, it is indeed a lost art. Very well met."
As Kemuel reached over, he noticed the blonde Elf enter and smile at Amieko. He decided to allow them some space to greet each other and he went back to sipping his Ale.

"We'll I wouldn't say I have a profession as such I'm more and adventurer shall we say" Diabel replied to Kale noticing this new entrant into the bar. "I have skills I would like to put to the test and I'm hoping that this place will be where I can start doing that" smiling Diabel took another drink of his water. "He's really interested in what I do" Diabel thought to himself as he drained the last of his cup

Ameiko smiled at Kemuel. "It isn't a problem, friend. Sandpoint is a decent place. Its got its issues now and then, but its certainly not Riddleport and Korvosa." she grinned, but then her eyes met her friends. "Shalelu!" The young Tian woman left the bar and embraced the Elven woman. "I did not expect you would be in tonight, but in this weather, I can't blame you!" Ameiko grinned. Shalelu smiled, she was a little taller than Ameiko, and looked a little older, but in actual fact, she was still young, for an elf, at 126 years of age. "No." the Elf replied. "I was going to stay out in the Hinterlands, but my patol route passed close to town, so I figured I would at least get a warm meal. I very well may head out again at closing time after some rest, but, I am uncertain of this at the moment.""Well, take a seat! I'll get Romi to get you a warm meal. Twelve is yours if you need it, Shalelu."---- NPC's Shalelu Andosana

"Skills." Kale was not the brightest of men but he was not thick. His skill are not of any normal profession, but trained in the arts of stealth or....killing even. Was the half-elf ready to have his skills tested ?. Maybe the start of his test was one of the many in this Inn. The test could mean anything.
Before leaning over towards Diabel Kale looked around to make sure no one was tuned in.
" I hope your thinking of anything foolish." ?

"No sir, I'm not" Diabel chuckled. "I am however very skilled in many things" he smiled again at Kale. Diabel saw the young woman behind the bar run to give the new comer a hug and looked back to the man sitting opposite "but be assured tonight is a night I would rather be quiet and without incident".

Kale chuckled. "Your right there."
Kale looked up towards the two woman hugging. He noticed the newcomer was an Elf. " Aright mix and match of people tonight." he thought. The elf seemed only to be a stranger to all the visitors in the Inn. The young woman seemed to be very close to this elf. The elf presented herself well, even from all the heavy rain. Her ice blues eyes, and her long blonde hair. " Of nobility perhaps."
Kale faced Diabel again. "So are you staying in the Inn tonight, or is this a quick stop.?"

Ameiko nodded before asking, "How is it out there?"
Shalelu frowned. "I fear the Goblin tribes have been too quiet. Too quiet for my liking, but other than that, it has been fairly... well.. boring I would suppose. I have seen that Black Dragon from time to time, but its mainly coming too and from the Dragons Punchbowl. It does not seem to be harming anyone from what I have heard, other than the odd missing sheep or cow, but, that could be anything."
Romi brought out a sweet and sour chicken dish with noddles, and placed it down in front of the Elf. He smiled at her, before returning to his domain.
Shalelu, after removing her rain cloak, looked pretty much dry, apart from the wet patches over her shoulders. She sat down on a stool at the bar and proceeded to eat the warm meal. Her face gave away her feelings about this, and it looked very much like she was enjoying the Tian dish.

The pace of the inn had certainly stepped up a notch with more people trickling in. When Shadow noticed the latest newcomer, also bedecked in hood and cloak, he tensed. There was something odd about this person, something that put him instantly on edge. He wasn't sure what it was, but the hairs on the back of his neck pricked. It took him a moment to come up with it, but when her eyes locked onto him and narrowed, he had it.
Magic.
And where there was magic, there was... An elf. Why did she have to be an elf? Shadow watched the elf - Shalelu, as the innkeeper called her - lower her hood and approach the bar. On top of being an elf, she was well armed and looked trained in the arts of combat, at least at range. After the prolonged look at him, he was sure that she had figured out something about him. He didn't think he had been completely outed, though it was only a matter of time; no, chances were much more likely that she called some more attention to him and Orcana next to him. Besides the obvious fact that he was trying to hide his race from the rest of the patrons, he half-seriously feared Orcana would have a heart attack should one more stranger speak with her. He decided it was time to head upstairs to his room.
"Sleep time," he said softly to Orcana in the hopes of not drawing further looks to them. He stood up, and winced as the wooden chair he had been seated at scraped rather obnoxiously across the floor.

Shalelu cocked her head to the side slightly and eyed the figure that stood up. Her eyes narrowed again, though this time Ameiko followed the gaze. Ameiko didn't look for too long though before turning her head back toward her Elven friend and given her a look that spoke in term of understanding, but that everything was fine. The look from Shalelu lingered for a moment and before returning to her meal. ---- If anyone looks, the job board is on the same wall of the fireplace, but on the other side of the main door.
There are a number of small bits of parchment on the note board. Note 1: Livestock slain! Help find and slay the monster responsible! See Telyn Hayson for more details!
Note 2: Help fight the Goblins of the Sandpoint Hinterlands. For every Goblin you slay, bring back its ears and be rewarded 10 Gold Pieces per set of ears! See Sheriff Hemlock for more information!
Note 3: SCZARNI KEEP STEALING MY CLEAN SHEETS AND FRESH PIES. PLEASE HELP ME! Please see Solsta Vinder. (This part clearly seems to have been written by someone else.)

"well im hoping to stay the night, but it looks like ill have to hurry or there's a good chance i wont get a room i guess" Diabel glanced over at the new comer who was now talking woman at the bar. Returing his gaze to Kale "how about yourself? are you staying here also" "or do you have somewhere close by?"

Perception 9+0 = FAIL Finishing up the noodles Zhen looks up to notice three new patrons enter. "Locals probably, maybe best not to be in the corner alone" and he began looking around the room for a likely option. In the process of getting up of the stool and picking up his pack Zhen slipped his hand free of the axe knuckles. "Doubtfull I'll need them here, and I wouldnt want to mess up the place too much if im going to be here a while. "
Picking a route through the now slightly crowded room he headed towards the human male sat at a table with his back to the wall. Trying to appear as friendly as possible, knowing that he would be observed all the way, Zhen picked a path to the table. "Good evening, may I join you? My name is Zhen by the way."

" I have not really thought that far." Kale smirked. "Well the rain doesn't seem to be easing off."
The thought of a soft bed and a night in from the cold and the weather was very tempting. After three days traveling, escorting a noble and his caravan from Galdura down to Sandpoint, running into trouble only the once. But taking care of the attacking thieves was easy work for Kale......after all that's what he was hired for. He got the noble to Sandpoint safe, Kale got paid, job done. Kale cared not who he was, why he was traveling, not even his name. It was a job. That's all Kale ever thought about most things he carried out. He only ended up in the Rusty Dragon because of the rain, but happy he did, as the meal and the Ale was of high standard. So having one nights stay sounded like a good plan.
Kale noticed that the young woman mentioned to the aged soldier that there was a job board close on the wall. Turning to look near the fire place Kale seen the board. The writing was too small to read from where he was sitting, so to save his legs he pointed to the board and looked at Diabel
"Have you looked at the jobs yet.?"

Godein watched over the rim of his mug of ale as the man in the drenched robes approached. As the man spoke, Godein rose from his seat and placed his mug on the table. He gave a friendly smile and extended his hand towards Zhen. His observation of the room was over now, it seemed.
"Godein, Godein Rovenra. Pleasure to make your acquaintance Zhen. Please, sit."
After shaking Zhen's hand, Godein took his seat once more and finished the last mouthfuls of his meal.
"What brings you to Sandpoint?"

Godein huh, Zhen noticed the man's strong firm grip and calluses, a fighter of some description no doubt. "Thanks, most assuredly it's the weather that drew me here!" Pulling a stool out, Zhen dropped his pack to the side and sat himself where he could feel the warmth of the fire. "I'm just passing through, I like to move around a lot, travel broadens your horizons so to speak."
Focusing on this Godein Rovenra, trying to get a sense of the man. "So, what brings you here? Travelling for business?"

Orcana winced as Shadow's chair screeched along the wooden floor. "The stairs to the rooms are by the bar." she said softly. "You'll have to walk past them all unnoticed if you chose to retire for the evening."
Orcana noticed the attention of a few patrons draw towards the noticeboard on the wall by the fire and assumed it had some announcement or other on it. She debated getting a drink while Shadow mulled over his choices.

Shadow eyed the room, his gaze settling on Shalelu once more. He'd have to move past her to head up to the room, but what choice did he have? It had become far too crowded and he was gaining little valuable information here. Best to turn in for the night... I can leave come dawn. His mind made up, he turned to Orcana. "It is probably best to retire." And with that, he made sure his hood was drawn well enough over his face to shadow it, and moved towards the bar, stairs, and the innkeeper's friend. The other patrons already seemed to be forming little groups together, no doubt bonding over past feats and future decisions. He had gleaned enough information about each of them to know where they stand and he wasn't worried about them at this time.

Ameiko left to sort out another round of drinks for Telyn and his boys.
This left Shalelu to finish her meal. The elf allowed herself to smile briefly. Romi sure knew how to cook, she thought to herself. Her train of thought was dashed however when the hooded figure had decided to head up stairs. Shalelu glanced at the backboard where the room keys were kept. Three were missing. Three, four and twelve. She knew of twelve. That was always kept as her room.
She took a sip of water and watched the figure head toward the stairs. Her eyes narrowed.

"No not yet, actually i dont know where they are if im being honest" Diabel replied, "perhaps you could show me in the morning?, that is if it wouldnt be too much trouble".
Diabel was enjoying the conversation with the big man and despite his size and the fact he was rather intimidating to behold he seemed like a good man, "thats the problem" he thought to himself. Diabel had often been taught that people are deceptive, and they may act like good people but a lot of the time its just a front, a front he had learned long ago. Being trained in the art of killing and thievery Diabel knew how important a front could be but for now felt no need to be anyone but himself.
"so what kind of jobs will i be able to take?" Diabel smiled.

Orcana stayed seated and watched the eyes of the patrons pass over her companion has he retired upstairs. When he was out of sight, she continued to watch the conversations unfold around the bar before plucking up courage and going in for a drink, making a conscious effort to eye over the announcements on the notice board before reaching the bar. Goblin hunting. she noted to herself. That sounds like fun. "Ameiko?" She spoke up when she saw the barkeep return after fulfilling another large order. "Could I get a glass of a local wine? Any house wine will do."
Orcana continued to try and remain invisible while waiting for her drink and listening to as many conversations as she could when she heard one of the farmers address another by a name she immediately recognized.

Ameiko fished out a bottle of wine from a make shift chill box and proceeded to pour a glass of it. "This stuff is from Magnimar, its okay I'm told." said Ameiko. "Can't really say I'm much of a wine drinker to be fair though." she smiled at the Half Elf.
Shalelu watched the hooded figure leave, but now her attention turned to his companion. Her head filled with questions and suspicion. She'd come to love the town of Sandpoint over the years and she did not appreciate people causing trouble for the place.
"So, what brings you to Sandpoint, Orcana-Rae?" asked Ameiko with a cheerful smile.

"No, not at the moment. Just travelling. If I'm required for business, those that need me often find a way to communicate. Courier, raven, that sort of thing. Or if a job presents itself and I feel inclined to take it on. What of yourself?"
Godein took a swig of his drink. Godein's eyes flicked over to the elf sitting at the bar, before flicking to follow the rough direction she was looking. The floating cloak was making it's way somewhere. There's something there.. interesting..
Taking a longer draw on his drink, he silently concentrated and focused on the room at large. Chaos manifested to someone attempting to observe it's presense in different ways. To some, it was a sense of sickness in the stomach. To others, it was a bone deep chill. To Godein, it was a greying of his vision. As he concentrated whilst drinking, he noted his vision greying out very slightly. Based on his training and what his tutors had taught him, he guessed at two faint chaos auras in the area, with perhaps two or three other, lesser auras too.
His drink finished, he placed the mug on the table. Chaotic individuals abound. Best be wary, he thought.

Orcana-Rae took a sip of the wine and savored the taste on her tongue for a half second before letting the crisp liquid slide down. Life seemed somehow easier with a little wine inside her and that simple fact normally kept Orcana away from anything intoxicating but she needed to mingle, at least a little, and wine helped her to do that. "I've been working my way down the coast from Riddleport, keeping to the woods as I go." Orcana explained, which wasn't a total exaggeration from the truth. She somewhat skimmed past the town some months back on her way down from the north, from her home, but she didn't want to get into the details. "I'm not really looking for much beyond a little distraction. The woods keep me entertained, though the woods are no place for anyone in this weather."
Orcana's attention shifted again towards the farmers who were well towards finishing their second round of ale since arriving. When Telyn's name was spoken aloud again, Orcana was finally certain of who was being addressed and quickly excused herself from the barkeep's conversation, feeling a little guilty for being so abrupt. She advanced to the side of Telyn, his tall muscular physique shadowing her own ample height. She gently placed her hand on his arm to draw his attention and spoke as softly as possible. "Hi." she said with a smile painted on her face - the type she'd found worked on men before. "Are you Telyn Hayson?"

"Me? Well I travel, seeking to increase my knowledge. You see there are many things lost to me, us as a race and what better way to enlighten oneself except by travel?"
Even though Godein is looking at me, im getting the impression of a man not fully focused, perhaps concentrating on something else. Maybe someone rather than something judging by his glances around the bar.
"Of course travel expenses must be met, so I help out in the villages and towns I pass through. Perfecting my skills whilst benefiting the communities as well, a most harmonius solution to everyones problem I think!"
"Well a pleasure to have met you Godein, I think I shall retire and take alook at the jobs this town needs assistance with. Its starting to be a little crowded and atmospheric in here fOr my tastes."
With that Zhen picked up his and pack and headed dto the bar "excuse me everyone, Miss kaijitsu Ill take your cheapest accomodation for the night, 1gp I think it was"

Shalelu listened to what the Half Elf had to say, and once Orcana left to talk to Telyn, she caught Ameiko's eye. "Ameiko," spoke Shalelu in Varisian. "I shall go and get a change of gear before I head out again. Thank you for the food Little Sister."
Ameiko nodded and smiled as Shalelu gathered her gear and made her way up stairs. At the top of the stairs, she lingered for a few moments to make sure no one was following her. Once she was certain of this, she turned and looked down the main corridor. In her head, she cursed in Elven. She started down the corridor toward room twelve, and as she passed rooms three and four, she slowed slightly and narrowed her eyes at both of the study wooden doors. Her mind awash with questions.
She got to the door of room twelve and slid the key into its lock.
Meanwhile, downstairs, the farmer known as Telyn placed down his drink and slowly looked up at the female half elf. "Well lass, aren't you something to look at." he said in such a way that was more of a complement. "Aye, that would be me, and these here would be my sons, Ryin and Tam." Both sons nodded there greeting to Orcana. Ryin was as big and burly as his father, and shared his looks in that both he and Telyn, whilst not ugly men, were nothing that could be considered to 'write home about' either. Tam on the other hand was slender and seemed to be much more athletic. It was obvious that he could handle the rigours of farming, but his frame, and his looks suggested that he could have fitted in well at a nobles ball.
"What can I do for you missy?" asked Telyn.
Ameiko looked up at the man. "Certainly! It will be in the common room upstairs. There are loads of beds in that room, and no one certainly has a cot in there at the minute. Just be aware that you won't really have much privacy. Like I said though, its a fairly large room."
---- Note: All human region languages will remain in black, just as common. Just be aware of this when replying.

The room Shadow had entered was nice enough. It had certainly been renovated recently, and the young innkeeper's touches were all over it. There was a youthful energy about the whole place and the accommodations for guests of the Rusty Dragon didn't deviate far from the rest of the inn. Although relatively plain, everything a traveling adventurer needed was at his or her disposal, and Shadow allowed himself a smile. It certainly beats camping in the rain, he thought. He threw back his hood and slid his cloak off, then unwrapped the scarf from around his neck and face. Folding the articles neatly, he stashed them just to the side of his bed.
Hearing soft footsteps on the stairs and coming through the hallway, Shadow assumed it was Orcana coming up and moved to the door. He sensed a pause outside of his door and figured she was going to knock, perhaps to complain that he had left her downstairs or to tell him she found some exciting new job that he should help her with. I doubt I'll ever understand that one...
Figuring he would save her the trouble of knocking, he opened the door just as Shalelu was passing, headed to room twelve. The knowledge that it was not Orcana stopped him dead in his tracks, though not before he had already began speaking.
"What do you want n--" he began, freezing in mid-sentence.
