"Where have you been?" Shadow asked Orcana. One more step, human, and I will take you down where you stand... was his thought as Zhen approached. He was wound as tight as a spring, ready to launch himself into the human. The entire scene was a mess of chaos. It frustrated him to no end, especially as the humans were judging him based on his race alone. But what did he expect?
"Tell them that we mean no harm and are just passing through. I cannot communicate to these fools, they do not understand nor do they wish to."

Durgean slid off his stool, slipping his hammer from its place on his hip as he did. Glancing at the crowd, this could go either way he thought to himself. Either way it is going to get messy.
In a deep, clear voice he spoke up. "Now then, what's all this violence about? Lets all put up our weapons, we wouldn't want to make a mess of our hosts nice floor. Blood is awfully hard to clean up."
Stepping closer to the Inquisitor, but maintaining a stern grip on his weapon; he addressed him. "Human. I know Drow are not partially well loved, but this one has been here for some time and as of yet, I have seen little reason to be quite so aggressive against him. Do you have sole choice of what is evil and what is not? Perhaps we should talk first, before beating face."

"Your word against many, many cruel and evil acts Miss. One against thousands really."
"Why don't you both settle down, you're outnumbered. And I really dont want it to get messy, yeah?"

Ameiko had upon her features a calm, and cheerful smile. She reached to where her rapier was hanging. Took it up, and placed it on the bar. "Ahem."
Romi took another swig of mead.
The locals all stood up at around about the same time and started to either slowly move to the far back of the Inn, up on the stage or leave the Inn altogether.
Romi put down his mug, and still staring at the back wall, spoke, "I have seen, many things in my life time that I do not wish to share with anyone." "But I will share with you this one thing, and you will do well to heed these wise words until the day you die." Romi slowly turned around on his stool. "When the owner of an Inn, that caters primarily for Adventurers, such as you fine people, tries to get your attention and then places her weapon on the bar. You do as she says."
Romi turned back around, picked up his mug and took another swig. "Or rather in this case, you do as her chef says; which is to calm the Hells down."
---- At this point, you all notice that Romi is a man of at least 50 years of age. He has burn scars on his left fore arm, and one large scar that runs down the right side of his face. You are not sure how any of you missed this until now.

Diabel's gaze fixed on the woman with the bow "im sorry miss? anyway if you were to kill my dear friend here i would be very upset." he smiled at her menacingly
"you see we were possibly going to be on a job tomorrow with our friend here" Kale nodded to the knight sat with them "and you killing him would, well hinder our plans". Standing Diabel looked her dead in the eye "Now i dont know what going on here but you should lower your weapon and perhaps try and solve this before something stupid happens, because as you can see there are more people here ready to kill your man then are about to defend him" he smiled once more "now can i get some water?"

Godein maintained his aim on the Drow. "I would drop the bow if I were you." he said, as the barbarian made his threat. "He doesn't seem like a man to amke idle threats."
He glanced to the barkeep as she placed her hands on the bar. His vision greyed heavily. But then, neither does she.
Looking back to the Drow, he spoke again."It is my duty to bring those who worship demon lords and darkness to the Light of Iomedae. No harm will come to him unless he forces my hand."

Kale's temper started to rise.
"An elf, fighting by the side of a Drow. Harmless, yet you both still sneak around the place with your little hooded cloaks on keeping to the shadows."
Kale withdrew his blade. His hand started slightly shake. His breathing got heavier with anger. Deep down Kale hoped that no conflict would erupt. His night so far was peaceful. His host, food and the ale was good. One night of chilling by the open fire was to good to be true. Now his anger was rising, he knew the damage he could cause, not only to the people but to the surrounding to the Inn and Kale did not want any of this. Kale spoke again.
" You really want to test me girl." Kale knew the Ranger would be quick, but Kale was no slogger.

Godein's words caught Shadow's attention and he turned slightly to speak directly to the Inquisitor. Who do these humans think they are?
"No demons. No darkness. Just Shadow," he said, trying to reason with the hostile lot. Imbeciles, the lot of them. His back was to Ameiko and Romi but his hearing was good enough to match his light-skinned kin. He knew weapons were drawn. The Drow tilted his head back towards the innkeeper and her chef with emphasis, "Listen."

"Ahem." Ameiko began to unsheathe the rapier that lay across the bar.
At the Inquisitors words, Romi slowly turned around in his stool and glared at the man. "My friend, you are the one pointing a weapon at the man who, to your knowledge, has done, no wrong. Please, remind me again, who is forcing whos hand, exactly?"

Diabel removed his daggers from the sheathes at his sides "no water then?" he reversed the grip of the one in his left hand and looked around the room, everyone now had a weapon out he's be a fool not to be armed if this all went sour. "i feel that everyone should calm down, or there's going to be a lot of cleaning to do in the morning" he joked but knew it may be too late. Instinctively Diabel had went to the combat stance he had been taught all his life. "what a day" he thought to himself.

Watching the chaos he had unwittingly caused unfold Zhen ws struggling to fit this drows actions into his races typical behaviour. He hadn't made any overtly threatening moves, in fact he seemed unusually peaceful.
"Ok, why dont we all just calm down. Godein, you miss over there with the bow. What say we lower them yeah? Drow, dont move, lets see what he has to say first."

"I'll be forcing hands if that crossbow isn't stowed soon, Inquisitor." Orcana-Rae knew her chances were slimmer than that of a kitten in hell, but she was honor-bound to her companion to defend him regardless. "He means you no harm, now, you have to the count of three, then you had better hope your quicker than me"
Orcana spared herself a moment to glance across the others. Outnumbered was an understatement, but at least she had the door by her side. She had a chance if this really got nasty. She didn't want things to get nasty. She really just wanted to run. "One".

"really? your going to count to 3" Diabel one again locked his gaze on her "do you realise your situation? im slmost sure this big man here could kill you before you loos your bow" a flicker of annoyance crossed the half elf for the first time "i would like to point out that you are making more threats than any other person here, perhaps you should try lowering your weapon first" Diabels grip tightened on his dagger and felt his demeanor become more aggressive

"Look Godein, lower the crossbow, he's not going anywhere ok? Barbarian meep an eye on that half elf with the bow. You drow, tell you're companion to drop the bow, she apparently cant hear me, or it's gonna get ugly real quick."

Kale heard Diabel's words and thought "Well spoken." Kale wanted to withdraw his dagger and dropping his guard meant an easy shot for the Ranger if she decided to take it. This was getting a bit out of hand, even for the Barbarian. "No matter who strikes first, the one who does, that same person will end up dead. Kale said within himself."
Kale risked it. He withdrew his blade and returned it to his boot. He grabbed the closest glass of ale, down the contents and slammed the glass off the table. The glass shattered into pieces. This was the only release of anger Kale was going to get away with. Annoyed that he withdrew before the elf, Kale still stared at the Elf. Rage in his blood, but deep down he knew he had to choose this decision. The Barbarian replied to the Monk in a angered tone.
" Don't worry.....she is not going anywhere."

Ameiko now had her rapier extended all the way out, though it still lay flat across the bar. "I said; AHEM!"
---- Intimidation checks: Ameiko rolls 17 + 12 = 29
The DC of my roll is 10 + your lvl + your wis bonus. (Since the Current max DC against my roll is 16. All PCs (And current NPCs (Not Romi) who are already cowering in the back of the room, are Intimidated for 1d6 + 10 minutes (Read 20 minutes))
You can, after the 20 minutes have passed, be on unfriendly terms with Ameiko should you so wish.
----
"This," Ameiko began to speak. Her rapier now completely out of its scabbard. "is how this is going to work." She spent a long, lingering moment, glaring into the eyes of all that were involved in this mess. "You are ALL going to put your weapons down. There will be NO, questions asked of anyone. Let me tell you all this. I allow you to keep your weapons in this Inn out of a common courtesy to my fellow Adventurers. A Courtesy that you all seem to be pissing all over right this very second." The young, but experienced Adventurer gritted her teeth.
"So. Put. Your. Gods Damn. Weapons. Down."

"That's what I've been trying to get across, but by all means your inn, your rules." Lowering his hands and taking a step back from the drow, Zhen turns around to retrieve his pavk.

Orcana knew very well this wouldn't end well if Ameiko got involved. The woman was down right scaring her now but she really needed to see this through. "Inquisitor, your in the middle of a three-way pissing contest here. Your running out of time." Orcana took a deep breath, drawing an additional quarter-inch on her bow as her muscles flexed. Her arm was beginning to ache from being locked back so long. Her mind was starting to slip, her concentration was breaking and she knew it. She couldn't keep this up much longer. It had to come to an end. Now. "Two"

Shadow only relaxed an inch, speaking to Orcana without looking away from Zhen and the Inquisitor. "Lower your bow, lest the innkeeper throw us out." He glared at Zhen and Godein dangerously. As he was not holding any weapons, and he was not about to remove the cesti from his arms, he took a step back away from Zhen to show his compliance with Ameiko's demand.

Orcana watched the inquisitor start to lower his weapon and did so herself. Her arm aching the full extent of her draw and continued to throb even after it was totally released.

Muttering to himself, "Men. And elves. Just my luck to end up in the bar with this lot." Putting his hammer back in the loop, Durgean turned back to the stool and the last drops of his ale. "Sod it. Let them kill themselves. Less idiots in the world for the Gods to worry about."

Romi sighed. "Bloody young'uns."
Ameiko yet out a long, relived sigh, and slowly put the rapier back into the scabbard. "Now that that is over, a drink on the house for everyone?" she grinned

Orcana-Rae turned her nose up at the thought of another drink. She was pumped full of adrenaline and she hated it. She despised the feeling of being out of control and right there she was about to lose control entirely. Seething with anger Orcana stuffed her hand in the leather pouch hanging from her right hip and pulled out the first coins that she could as she walked up to the bar. "For your door, Ameiko, with sincere apologies." She hissed, slamming the coins on the bar surface. Orcana purposefully struck Shadow with her shoulder, knocking him slightly off balance as she advanced upstairs to retire. She'd had enough.

Kale had both hands on the table. Staring at the table he noticed his left hand was cut dew to the shattering glass. The cut was not too deep, but it was bleeding enough to run from his hand and onto the broken glass on the table. He was slowly starting to calm. Seeing the young woman behind the bar with the blade on the bar and her chef, Kale knew that how calm both of them were during all this mayhem, that they were more than they seemed.

Making room for the half elf, still didn't catch her name, Zhen slung his pack over his shoulder and started up the stairs in search of his bunk.
"Well lets hope tomorrow's a little quieter." He thought, chuckling to himself as he climbed the stairs. "A strange one that drow, everything ever recorded about them in the elders scrolls deems them to be a violent and cruel race, despising others. Most unusual" and with that he found the common bunk room, chose one at random set his pack and lay down to puzzle over the evenings events.

The Barbarian stood up straight and with his unwounded hand he patted Diabel on the shoulder twice.
"Good night Diabel, I will see you in the morning and then, we will talk more about this sheriff we must see."
Walking away he nodded in a kind gesture to Kemuel before walking to the bar.
"Excuse me.....Ameiko. do you have any spare rooms please. A room on its own would be better if possible."
" And a spare towel, so I can wrap this, if its not to much trouble." Showing his left hand.

Ameiko nodded and passed a clean dish cloth over to Kale.
"I sure do." she said as she fished off key 5 from its hook. "Will be two gold coins a night."
---- As a reminder, all room costs are thus;
1gp per night in the common room. 2gp for a single room. 4gp for a double bed room
Kale: -2gp from your gold total.
